about

Now seems to be of greater importance in this last year. For better or worse, the issue of time has become very real; not enough to accomplish what we need to or too much of it on our hands. We may not have had enough time with some, while facing the challenges of spending an abundance of time in togetherness. Maybe we’ve realized the value of now. It is always happening and never happening again.

lyrics

Everybody was sayin’
“No, I just don’t have time.”
But we don’t have to worry about that now
Used to say, “just leave me alone.”
Well, now here we are

Gettin’ fact or fiction
Oh, how blurry the lines
I think we’re thinkin’ more about that now
Used to say, “just leave me alone.”
Well, now here we are

This ain’t how we planned it
I’m just trying to understand it
Masked up like some bandits
What a way to live a life, y’all
This seems underhanded
So I guess you got a theory too
Don’t think I can stand it
That’s okay
We’re just talking, me and you

When it comes down to how we do each other
How much can we care, can we care
You can’t see my face, it’s under cover
But if you look into my eyes
You’ll see me smilin’ on ya, brother

Everybody was sayin’
“No, I just don’t have time.”
But we don’t have to worry about that now
Used to say, “Just leave me alone.”
Well, now I hope we’ve grown

This ain’t how we planned it
I’m just trying to understand it
Masked up like some bandits
What a way to live a life, y’all
This seems underhanded
So I guess you got a theory too
Don’t think I can stand it
That’s okay
We’re just talking, me and you

This ain’t how we planned it
I’m still trying to understand it
Masked up like some bandits
I’d love to see that look on your face
This seems underhanded
I know you’ve got some theory too
Don’t think I can stand it
We’ll just talk
Just me and you

This ain’t how we planned it
Masked up like some bandits
This seems underhanded
Don’t think I can stand it
