about

We want to return to normal or get to the new normal; get back to the mundane we took for granted. There is a day-to-day going on, regardless of the wonderful and the insufferable. Living is so much more than what we allow to be placed right in front of us. If the new normal is making note of how we got “here,” and paying attention and affecting change when and where it's necessary, then the new normal is good. Live, rest, repeat.

lyrics

I just want to work and play
Not to throw your words away
But I keep seeing just one corner of the day
Never fooled by suit and tie
Secretive navy blue tribe
Every tattooed dude is not a fool
He’s just not you

I think we’re on the edge
Of something that will change us
I think we’re on the edge
Of something that will free us in our lives

We took a breath and soaked it in
Was just a means not yet an end
And everlasting it was not
Nor will it ever be
And our days they still go on
Rising moon and setting sun
Clearly time we pass the mantle
And are led by the young

I think we’re on the edge
Of something that will change us
I think we’re on the edge
Of something that will free us in our lives

Come a little closer
I think we’re on the edge
Come a little closer
Let’s go over the edge
Come a little closer
We’re clearly on the edge

Don’t just leave your rights to die
It’s so crazy not to try
No one ever got this far by laying on the tracks
Fight back
Take a breath and soak it in
Know that this is not the end
One day you will feel the work is done
But it’s not done
Carry on

I think we’re on the edge
Of something that will change us
I think we’re on the edge
Of something that will free us in our lives
